Northeast Ohio Chess Club founded March 17, 2017 A chess club for correspondence chess players from Northeast Ohio, those who wish they were Ohioans and all chess players from around the world. We hope to offer regular open tournaments, a club championship, and a Champion of Tournaments competition, to determine the best in club tournaments. Rules: 1)This competition is a measurement of tournament results for the year for tournaments run by the NEO Chess Club. 2)Any event that extends into the next year will be scored to the year in which it started. 3)In each round players score 1 point for a win, ½ point for a draw and 0 for a loss. Their percentage score for that round will be multiplied by the round, then times 10 to determine points scored. 4)Example: A player scores 6/6 pts. in rd. 1, 6/6 pts. in rd. 2, 5.5/6 pts. in rd. 3, and 1.5/4 pts. in rd. 4. 5)This is scored 1.000 x 10 = 10, 1.000 x 20 = 20, .917 x 30 = 27.51, .375 x 40 = 15 6)then add those together . . . 10 + 20 + 27.51 + 15 = 72.51 points awarded. 7)The player with the highest points at the end of the year is the champion.
