2017 Spring Open

April 12, 2017 - Today saw the start of our first tournament, the 2017 Spring Open. 166 players joined the tournament, with an average rating of 1620 and we look forward to many interesting games. The favorites to win are festa (2193), flagellum (2188) and Dr.SheldonCooper (2181). This event is part of the Champion of Tournaments competition, as we find the champion of the year's club tournaments.

Future Tournaments

April 11, 2017 - Future NEO Chess Club tournaments will have a 7 day sign up period. The club championship will begin on June 12 and you must be a club member to play. Champion of Tournaments points will apply. Next year the championship will be held in January.

The chessmail Chess Clubs

April 6, 2017 - Chessmail has a very active community of chess players and the heart of it is the club community. There is forty clubs in all, with Chess Connection being the largest, with 155 members. Coming in second is TSVM Berlin with 95 members and Auto-Reloading-Team in third with 91 members. The two oldest clubs, Der Neue Club 2.0 and Crazy Chessmail Clüb have been in existence since September 2010. Many of the clubs hold regular tournaments, making chessmail a wonderful place to play competitive chess in large tournaments.

Champion of Tournaments

2) Any event that extends into the next year will be scored to the year in which it started.
3) In each round players score 1 point for a win, ½ point for a draw and 0 for a loss. Their percentage score for that round will be multiplied by the round, then times 10 to determine points scored.
4) Example: A player scores 6/6 pts. in rd. 1, 6/6 pts. in rd. 2, 5.5/6 pts. in rd. 3, and 1.5/4 pts. in rd. 4.
5) This is scored 1.000 x 10 = 10, 1.000 x 20 = 20, .917 x 30 = 27.51, .375 x 40 = 15
6) then add those together . . . 10 + 20 + 27.51 + 15 = 72.51 points awarded.
7) The player with the highest points at the end of the year is the champion.

Regeln:

1) Dieser Wettbewerb ist eine Messung der Turnierergebnisse für das Jahr für Turniere, die vom NEO Chess Club laufen.
2) Jedes Ereignis, das sich bis in das nächste Jahr erstreckt, wird auf das Jahr geschossen, in dem es angefangen hat.
3) In jeder Runde Spieler Punktzahl 1 Punkt für einen Sieg, ½ Punkt für ein Unentschieden und 0 für einen Verlust. Ihre prozentuale Punktzahl für diese Runde wird mit der Runde multipliziert, dann mal 10, um Punkte zu bewerten.

6) Dann fügen Sie diese zusammen . . . 10 + 20 + 27,51 + 15 = 72,51 Punkte vergeben.
7) Der Spieler mit den höchsten Punkten am Ende des Jahres ist der Champion.
